Brief background:
Ph.D. in political science; award-winning journalist and media specialist with more than 20 years of experience in investigative reporting, newsroom leadership and journalism training.
May Titthara holds a Ph.D. in political science from Khemarak University. He currently works as a freelancer for international media outlets. He previously served as a media specialist at Internews Network, and executive editor of Khmer Times newspaper. He also worked as national news editor at The Phnom Penh Post.
May Titthara has received 24 national and international journalism awards. He was a Jefferson Fellow at the East-West Center in the United States in 2018, a Southeast Asian Press Alliance fellow in Indonesia in 2011 and a recipient of an International Press Service reporting fellowship in Thailand in 2008.
